Make Colorado Gives Day a Part of Your Holiday Traditions
There are numerous ways we can support our local community: shopping local, volunteering, participating in community discussions, rooting on the hometown team, and others.
But December 7th, 2021, is a different story. It’s Colorado Gives Day, an annual one-day giving movement that benefits local nonprofits right here in Colorado. We’d like to share a little information with you about this special day and why getting involved each year is important to J&K Roofing.
What Is Colorado Gives Day?
Colorado Gives Day is one of the largest charitable giving days in the country, and it takes place annually in December. Community members are invited to support the more than 3,000 local nonprofits by donating as much as they’d like, and on this day last year 2020, more than $50 million were donated!
The initiative is sponsored by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, both of whom do a lot to support nonprofits through volunteer and financial support.
The nice thing about Colorado Gives Day is that it’s easy to support a cause that means something to you; the website makes finding a nonprofit near you effortless by allowing you to search by name, location (city, ZIP code, and county), or the type of cause. Looking through their website is a great way to learn about different nonprofits across your community.
